SATCOM Tracking Tag

The SATCOM Tracking Tag is attached to an asset and once activated issues a location report. The SATCOM Tracking Tag moves into a low power state and issues infrequent reports until it is moved. Asset motion prompts the system to report more frequently and can increase reporting to every 15 seconds. The Tag’s Iridium modem provides a link between the user’s Android device or computer and the asset.

Airdrop missions often commence with the U.S. Air Force and conclude with U.S. Army or Marine Corps personnel isolated in remote environments and unable to send asset retrieval reports. Developed to close this communications gap and ensure that valuable assets can be located, the STARA SATCOM Tracking Tag starts communicating its position to authorized users via an Iridium network the moment it’s attached to the asset. From deployment to retrieval, SATCOM Tracking Tag traces your asset throughout the entire mission.
